Equora Privacy Policy


1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Equora mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "App"), which is available for download and use on the Apple App Store. This policy clearly explains how we collect, use, store and disclose information when you use our App, as well as your rights and choices regarding your information.


Equora is a one-click usable calorie monitoring application.The App does not require user registration, login, or submission of any personal private information. Users can access all core functions directly after downloading and installing the App. This policy is formulated in compliance with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other global mainstream privacy protection laws and regulations.


2. Information We Collect

We strictly adhere to the principle of minimizing data collection. We do not collect, store or process any user personal privacy information, including but not limited to user name, phone number, email address, identity information, address, payment information, biological information, photo album, contact list and other sensitive personal data.


To ensure the normal operation of the App, optimize service experience, and provide standardized third-party advertising services, we will automatically collect non-private device and environment information when you use the App.


The collected information is limited to the following scope:

- Device Information: Mobile device model, unique device identifier (Device ID/IDFV).

- System Information: Mobile operating system version, system default language.

- Regional Information: General geographic region (non-precise location, only country/region level, no specific city or coordinate data).

All collected information cannot be used to identify any specific individual, and does not belong to legally protected personal privacy sensitive data.


3. Purpose of Information Usage

The non-private device information we collect is only used for the following legitimate purposes, and will not be used for any other unauthorized scenarios:

- App Operation Maintenance: Identify device and system adaptation problems, ensure the stable operation of calorie monitoring functions, and fix technical bugs.

- Service Optimization: Adapt system language and regional attributes to optimize the display effect and user experience of App functions.

- Third-Party Advertising Delivery: Assist third-party advertising service providers in delivering generalized, non-personalized advertisements, realizing normal advertising display functions of the App.

- Data Statistics & Analysis: Conduct anonymous overall data statistics on App usage, analyze generalized user usage habits to optimize product functions.


We will not use the collected information to track, identify or profile individual users, nor will we conduct illegal data mining and user portrait construction.


4. Third-Party Service & Information Sharing


4.1 Third-Party Advertising Service

Our App accesses third-party advertising SDK services to support free operation and maintenance of the product. The third-party advertising platform may obtain the non-private device information listed in Article 2 of this policy to realize advertising display, anti-cheating and data statistics functions.


All third-party advertising service providers have passed formal qualification verification, and their data processing behaviors comply with global privacy laws and Apple official review specifications. 4.2 ChatGPT Technical Support

The core algorithm and intelligent analysis technology of the App's calorie monitoring function are supported by ChatGPT (developed by OpenAI). In the process of using the intelligent calorie monitoring service, only the anonymous diet and sports data actively input by users in the App will be transmitted to the OpenAI technical interface for intelligent analysis.


No user personal identity information will be transmitted in the whole process. All interactive data is only used for real-time calculation and feedback of calorie monitoring results, and will not be permanently associated with user devices or identities, nor will it be used for other commercial purposes.


4.3 No Other Third-Party Sharing

We will not sell, rent, transfer or disclose any collected device information to any other third-party institutions or individuals without the explicit permission required by laws and regulations, except for the circumstances stipulated in this policy and legal mandatory requirements.


5. Data Storage & Security Protection

The non-private device information collected by the App is stored through encrypted technical means, and we have established complete technical and management security measures to prevent data leakage, tampering, loss and unauthorized access.


All data will be retained only during the valid period of user use of the App. After the user uninstalls the App or the data no longer serves the above-mentioned usage purposes, we will automatically clean up and invalidate the relevant data in accordance with technical specifications.


It is emphasized again that the App does not collect any personal privacy data, so there is no risk of personal privacy information leakage.


6. User Rights

In accordance with GDPR, CCPA and other global privacy laws, you enjoy the following rights:

- Right to Transparency: You have the right to know the type, scope and usage of the non-private information collected by the App.

8. Policy Update

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy in a timely manner according to product iteration, service adjustment and legal requirement changes. After the policy is updated, we will publish the latest version in the App and update the effective date. The updated privacy policy will take effect immediately after publication. Your continued use of the App will be deemed as your recognition of the latest policy terms.
